How Do I Locate and Patch a Leak in My Panel?

If you notice one of your YardRink panels isn't holding water, don't worry—a small leak is usually easy to find and repair, without having to replace the panel mid-season.

No Need to Patch while the rink is in Use

YardRink panels will function just fine without water, especially if you other panels are full and frozen. the best course of action is to wait until take down to locate and patch the leak.

How to Patch the Leak

If you are not able to visibly locate the leak, during take down add a few drops of food coloring to the panel. As the colored water escapes, it will leave a visible trail on the outside of the panel, making it much easier to identify the exact location of the leak.

Cover the leak with a high-quality waterproof repair tape, such as Flex Tape®, making sure the patch extends well beyond the damaged area. Press the tape down firmly to create a tight seal.

If needed, add water back into the panel until it matches the level of the surrounding panels.
