How much water will it take to fill my rink? How long will it take?

Before filling your rink, be sure to fill each panel. This typically takes around 40 seconds each. The amount of water (and time) it takes to fill a rink depends on the rinks size and the slope of your yard.

The following approximations assume the rink is filled to a minimum of 4" depth using a 5/8" diameter hose that delivers 10 gallons/minute. The design of YardRink will not allow water depth beyond 14". But the goal is to use the least water possible. Stop filling when the shallow end reaches 4". Starter Rink (17' x 35') Level yard: 1,470 gal / 2.5 hours Max slope yard: 2,600 gal / 4.5 hours Starter Rink (26' x 53') Level yard: 3,400 gal / 6 hours Max slope yard: 6,000 gal / 10 hours Some owners use a water delivery service to fill their rink, especially if they get their water from a well.
