Refer to the size of the rink you ordered and then consult the chart below to determine how many straight panels should go on each side and on each end of your rink.
For example, if you ordered a rink that is 29' wide x 47' long, you would place 4 straight panels on each end and 10 straight panels on each side. The tarp shape and size will also guide you -- when the correct number of panels are connected on each end/side, you should have roughly the same amount of tarp outside every panel before pulling it up and attaching it to the panels with cable ties.
