YardRink is designed to be simple and straightforward to set up. Most customers can complete the installation in an hour or two with basic tools and a helper or two never hurts.
Slope is an important consideration before you begin. You should have already measured your slope and selected the location for your rink. YardRink can accommodate up to 10 inches of slope, but choosing the best location and understanding your yard’s grade before installation will help ensure a smooth setup and maximize ice time throughout the winter.
When your YardRink arrives, look for the box labeled:
"OPEN THIS BOX FIRST – ADDITIONAL COMPONENTS INSIDE"
This box contains your setup instructions along with other important components you’ll need during installation. We recommend opening and reviewing these instructions before unpacking the rest of your rink.
The setup process includes:
- Raking the area removing any rocks or twigs
- Laying out the tarp
- Positioning the panels
- Connecting the panels
- Wrapping the tarp around the outside of the panels
- Installing the stakes
