Choosing the right YardRink comes down to three things: available yard space, who will be using the rink, and how you plan to play. Whether you're introducing young kids to skating or hosting neighborhood pickup games, there's a rink size that's right for you.

Before choosing a size, measure the area where you'd like to install your rink. Be sure to leave a little extra room around the outside for setup and maintenance. Your installation area should also have no more than 10 inches of slope in any direction for the best results.
Think About How You'll Use It- Learning to skate: A Junior or Starter Rink provides plenty of room while keeping setup and maintenance simple.
- Hockey practice: Medium and Standard Rinks offer enough space for skating drills, passing, and shooting.
- Pickup games: If you regularly have friends and family on the ice, a Standard or Large Rink provides the room needed for fast-paced play.
Many families start with a smaller rink while their kids are learning, then expand as they grow. YardRink's modular design allows you to upgrade to a larger preferred size by purchasing additional panels and a larger tarp, so you don't have to replace your entire rink.
